Didsbury Golf Club, a friendly and welcoming club, was founded in 1891 and is proud to play an active part in the county competitions.
It has an interesting history and details can be found in the book ‘The History of Didsbury Golf Club’.
A major development for the club came with the M60 being built through the course in the 1970’s but it soon settled into its current excellent parkland format and has some of the best practice facilities in the county.
Disbury has had Peter Barber as their PGA professional for over 30 years, Peter is also coach to Cheshire and England players.
A Didsbury junior player going on on to make his name in golf is Andrew who now a life member of the club.
Danny Wardrop was another Didsbury junior who played for England Boys.
