Heaton Moor G.C.
Title
Heaton Moor G.C.
Description
Heaton Moor Golf Club was founded in 1892. The course measures close to 6000 yards with a par of 70 and is a pleasantly situated, gently undulating parkland course with two loops of nine holes each starting and finishing by the clubhouse which makes it ideally suited to players of all ages and abilities.
The relatively narrow tree lined fairways and bunkers protecting many of the excellent greens makes this a most challenging course . The 18th hole has a hedge surrounding all approaches to the green with the clubhouse immediately to the rear of the green.
Charles Chevalier who for many years held the world record for the number of holes in one (31) was the club professional for 30 years from 1940-1970.
