A man with probably the grandest name in the county golf scene, Theo Hawke stood at 6' 4" and became the 10th Baron Hawke. He played for the county on numerous occasions and was a Delamere member and captain.
Big hitting George, who drove the 8th green at Delamere in 1972. He had a Walker Cup trial and was runner up to Jack Jones in the 1960 County Championship.
At the end of a tremendous season where the Boys won the English title and the men won the Northern Counties, the two teams played a match at Delamere Forest
Delamere Forest again hosted the County Championship and produced the winners of the Team Championship.
